Airpod -- Air-powered Car by TATA.

India's biggest car maker (Tata) is expecting to introduce a new car powered by compressed air. They also introduced a preliminary model for the same. The idea of using compressed air powered car is being researched by many big companies for more than last 20 years.

The internal Combustion engine of this car also functions like other normal cars.The rotation of /fuel pistons causes the rotation of Crank shaft. As a result it gets the energy to move.

Motor Development International (MDI) is a company for developing cars powered by Compressed air. It is a France based company and they have developed the preliminary model for Airpod.

TATA enlisted the help of MDI, for developing such a car model in 2007, and after 5 years in 2012 they have completed their works and provided the model back to TATA motors.

Airpod is having only one seat and it can gain a speed of 45-70 km per hour.It can also suck the air from atmosphere. This new idea if it becomes successful will become a new generation for the cars.
