A good news from medical field. A baby born with HIV is cured and now he is free from diseases. It is a mile stone in HIV treatment.
"This is a proof of concept that HIV can be potentially curable in infants," said Dr. Deborah Persaud, a virologist at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, who presented the findings at the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections in Atlanta.
The anti troviral medicine is applied when the baby has an age of 30 hours. As per UN statistics, in 2011 more than 3,00000 babies are infected.
