In the northern parts of the Alappuzha distinct of Kerala,
the nature has showered all its beauty and hence tourism is having great scope over here. One of them in "Pathira Manal" which stands smiling in the middle of the lake. Its believed that in one time time the Island came there from the lake.Hence the name is given. Its more than 100 acres in width and is the place of scenic beauty and ecology.

The "Thanneer Mukkam Bundu" which comes in the middle of Vembanad joing the Kottayam and Alappuzha districts is a great tourist spot. Its one of the largest salt less water reservoirs of the world. There are around 18 small Islands towards the north side of this reservoirs . This place is very much rich in rivers, ponds, lake views and natural beauty.

Muhamma,Thanneermukkam and Mannanjeri Panchayaths are having the largest number of resorts in the district. So many house boats can be seen here.Traditional employments like fishing and all can be seen in abundance. This place is rich in its natural food substances and so many worshiping places.

But most of the tourists who come to Alappuzha go back after their stay in Kuttanad, Kumarakam etc. If the windows of lake views in the northern parts are opened to tourists, there will be huge flow of them to these places. The people leaders should take up this task by understanding the upcoming changes of tourism field and make tourism more popular in the god's own country.
